It was hard to find which state or district is lacking Vaccination stock with them. Not only the stock but Ministry of Health and Family Welfare found it impossible to trace every problem. So, Digitization comes as a rescue and proved as a blessing in disguise. Government of India launched eVIN system through which Ministry is able to see what is happening where.
What is eVIN
This is e Vaccination program of India where 12 States have been covered so far. Under this system Remote viols temperature, its quantity, quality everything is controlled by Ministry sitting at distance. Under this program 16,500 Cold Chain handlers got training. Around 371 Districts have been covered under this eVIN system.

The States covered in this system are Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarpradesh, Madhyapradesh etc. As per the Deputy Commissioner Dr Pradeep Haldar of Ministry of Health and Family welfare said that “Immunization is one of the most effective and cost-effective ways to protect children’s lives and futures. eVIN has helped us in big way. Through full immunization coverage, we can make sure that the benefits of life-saving vaccines reach every child. The recently introduced measles-rubella vaccine, which will be provided for free in schools, during the campaign, in health facilities and at outreach session sites, is another such step to achieving our goals.”
