150 plus in GMSH 16, 100 plus GMCH 32 went positive so far in this COVID period

1457 HCWs in PGIMER, Chandigarh went positive so far and 219 Health Care workers from PGI are currently home isolated. 150 plus HCWs from GMSH 16 and 100 plus from GMCH 32 so far have turned COVID positive while discharging duties in Chandigarh. (Data is Official from all the hospitals)

Remember Salochana Gehlot Radiographer of GMSH 16, she succumbed to COVID last year on 28 September 2020. She went Covid positive while discharging her duties in Govt Multispecialty Hospital Sector 16, Chandigarh. The hospital Administration did pay homage to the departed soul and as usual everyone from staff, friends, acquaintances might have forgotten her sacrifice too. This is how time makes us forget things so easily, just like we as “Responsible Citizen” have so easily dropped down our guards towards COVID and have forgotten COVID appropriate behaviour.

Health Care workers who are discharging their “Duties” in respective hospitals, are certainly having families too. Many of them, did not take leave for a single day since COVID duties started. I, you might have said Thanks to them while beating thalis, showering petals over them through helicopter as well, BUT the question arises, is that really enough ? Will these gestures going to help these HCWs? Answer is NO. They need us to behave COVID appropriate which we are not taking seriously.

The city is scaling at 397 cases today with 3370 active cases so far. Hospital Beds are full, ICUs are full in all hospitals, Doctors are already doing beyond human capacity duties, some of them did not go back home for weeks. Some are just taking power naps to continue with emergency duties. Please, People from Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal who so ever thinks of Chandigarh PGI, GMCH 32 in time of their medical emergency, please have mercy on doctors. Consider them as Human please and Behave COVID appropriately. Mask should be on the nose, it should cover your mouth and nose properly. Social Distancing means something. Behave, else Crematoriums are also functioning 24/7.
