Saini to launch industrial policy, AI Sandbox

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will launch the state’s new industrial policy framework and inaugurate the Haryana AI Sandbox during his visit to Gurugram on Monday, as the state government pushes for greater investment, industrial expansion and technology driven growth.

Saini will formally unveil the “Make in Haryana Policy” along with a set of sector specific industrial policies prepared by the Industries and Commerce Department. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh will also attend the programme.

Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said the new policy framework aims to attract fresh investments, accelerate manufacturing growth and generate employment opportunities across Haryana.

In another major initiative, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the Haryana AI Sandbox, developed with support from the World Bank. The platform has been designed to promote artificial intelligence based innovation, skill development and job creation by providing startups, innovators, students and industry stakeholders an ecosystem to develop and test AI driven solutions.

Officials said the initiative is expected to connect youth with emerging technologies and strengthen Haryana’s position as a centre for digital innovation and technological advancement.

Apart from the industrial and technology related events, Saini will participate in a common yoga protocol practice session at Maharana Pratap Swarn Jayanti Park in Sector 29 as part of the state’s preparations for International Yoga Day on June 21.

The Chief Minister will also flag off 310 emergency response vehicles donated to Haryana Police by Honda India Foundation. The vehicles are expected to enhance emergency response capabilities and strengthen public safety across the state.

Later in the day, Saini will chair the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee at the Freedom Fighter District Council Hall in Civil Lines, where 15 public grievances related to various government departments will be taken up for hearing.

Officials said all arrangements for the programmes have been completed. Representatives from government departments, industry bodies, technology firms, educational institutions and civil society organisations are expected to participate in the events. The visit is being seen as a significant step towards strengthening governance, industrial development and technology driven growth in Haryana.
