Red alert in Punjab after blast near Delhi’s Red Fort metro station

A red alert has been issued in Punjab following a blast near the Red Fort metro station in Delhi. Police Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police have been directed to remain on high alert, while additional forces have been deployed in sensitive and crowded areas.

Security personnel are conducting thorough checks of vehicles and suspicious individuals. The administration has urged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Security agencies are closely monitoring the situation. Alerts have also been sounded in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal DGP Ashok Tiwari has instructed police personnel in border regions to intensify vigilance. District SPs have been told to maintain strict alertness, and vehicles entering the state from neighbouring areas are being checked at border points. Special focus has been placed on identifying suspicious people and vehicles.

Security arrangements have been strengthened at major temples and prominent Shakti Peeths across Himachal. Following the DGP’s orders, all station house officers and police post in-charges have been put on high alert.
