Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday announced a series of initiatives aimed at boosting employment, self-employment and industrial growth as part of the Haryana Vision @2047 roadmap. The government plans to establish specialised skill centres in 100 high-potential rural clusters and strengthen support for startups and women entrepreneurs across the state.
Chairing a meeting with officials of the MSME, Industries and Startup Haryana departments, Saini directed the authorities to promote startups in every district and create a stronger ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
As part of the initiative, the government will identify 100 rural clusters where skill centres will be developed according to the needs of local industries. These will include bead manufacturing in Hisar, handloom in Panipat, farm equipment and dairy in Karnal, and pottery in Yamunanagar.
Under the PM SETU Scheme, Industrial Training Institutes will introduce new industry-oriented courses to improve employability. The state also plans to partner with the private sector by getting at least 25 ITIs adopted by companies to strengthen industry linkages and ensure employment opportunities for more than 70 per cent of trainees.
