Haryana CM to unveil projects worth over Rs 50 crore

The Haryana Government on Thursday announced a major healthcare expansion initiative under its ‘Swasth Haryana Samriddh Haryana Abhiyan’, aimed at strengthening medical infrastructure and improving healthcare services across the state.

Health, Medical Education and Research and AYUSH Minister Arti Singh Rao said that nine key healthcare projects will be inaugurated and foundation stones laid during a state level function in Panchkula on Friday. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will preside over the event as the chief guest.

As part of the initiative, 30 healthcare institutions constructed at a cost of Rs 22.29 crore will be inaugurated. In addition, foundation stones for 16 new health institutions, involving an investment of Rs 21.50 crore, will be laid.

The government will also begin construction of a dedicated attendants’ rest house at the District Civil Hospital in Sonipat at a cost of Rs 6.45 crore, aimed at providing better facilities for family members accompanying patients.

In a significant step towards strengthening women’s healthcare, specialised ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ clinics will be launched in 23 district hospitals across Haryana. The clinics are expected to focus on improving access to healthcare services for women and promoting family well being.

The programme is expected to mark a significant expansion of Haryana’s healthcare infrastructure, with projects focused on improving medical facilities, accessibility and patient care across the state.
