Noted Punjabi folk singer Lachi Bawa succumbed to Cancer. She has been suffering with Cancer for five months. Daughter of Punjabi Folk Singer Lachi (46) was the eldest of three daughters.
A large number music industry and film industry personalities attended her last rites and paid her a final adieu. Lachi (46) along with her sisters, was running a music academy. Lachi’s husband was too passed away earlier. She is survivd by a her Daughter and son. Gurmeet Bawa along with her husband Kirpal Bawa performed the last rites.
Lachi and Glori Bawa started their singing journey at an early age with their mother Gurmeet Bawa. Gurmeet Bawa being their mother and teacher inducted them to nuances of this industry. Amrinder Gill, and many such from the industry have expressed grief over her demise.
Actor and singer Gurshabad has also expressed shock. He said, “We grew up listening to the songs of Gurmit, Lachi and Glori Bawa. It is shocking when you see such a good folk singer dying at such an early age.”
