The District Administration, Ambala, organised a Tricolour Yatra and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day programme at Herbal Park, Ambala City, drawing wide participation from citizens, students, and social organisations.
Former Minister of State Aseem Goel, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, and BJP District President Mandeep Rana attended the event. An exhibition on Partition Horrors was also set up by the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages.
Addressing the gathering, Aseem Goel said that recalling the painful experiences of Partition was vital to understanding the value of freedom, peace, and unity. He emphasised India’s strength in its shared cultural heritage and resilience, urging citizens to preserve these values for future generations. He described the Tricolour as a symbol of pride and dignity, appealing to people to display it respectfully at their homes and establishments.
Mandeep Rana highlighted that every citizen bears responsibility for upholding the honour of the national flag. He called the Tricolour a shared symbol of identity and pride, encouraging participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta noted that under the campaign, several activities were being held across the district to foster patriotism. He said the Yatra and remembrance programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students, sportspersons, cyclists, NGOs, police personnel, and citizens.
