Students shifting from private to govt schools in Punjab. This trend, that has increased numbers as students are shifting from private schools to join government schools, is largely due to the commitment of the Mann government that can provide them with quality education. This was shared by Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal during a meeting with parents at the School of Eminence in Mullanpur Garibdas, SAS Nagar.

Goyal explained further that all types of education have high priority for the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. In this pursuit, over 20,000 schools in the state held parent-teacher meetings directed at fostering relationships between parents and teachers. According to him, the parent-teacher meeting is an all-inclusive endeavor by all stakeholders from teachers, to students, parents, school management committees, and community members to discuss how the standards of education can be improved or enhanced and the bright future of students.

There, during the meeting, Goyal personally met parents, teachers, and students to talk with them about their concerns, motivated them to work hard in studies, set high goals in their lives, and then prided themselves with making Punjab proud.

He underlined the fact that parent-teacher meetings are very much in need for the wholesome development of the students and help in building stronger connections between schools and families. He said that the Punjab Government had launched a multitude of initiatives for up gradation of government schools like facilitating campus managers, security personnel, better classrooms, labs, transport service, Schools of Eminence, and infrastructure aspects like grounds and uniform provision to the students.

Principal Jyoti Soni warmly welcomed Goyal, along with other staff members at the School of Eminence. He went to different student exhibitions where he appreciated the entrepreneurial spirit of the students.
Such dignitaries who came were Arvind Puri, Jaspal Singh, Jatinder Singh, Sarabjit Kaur, Lal Singh, Gorav, and Paramjit Singh.
