Haryana CM Saini inaugurates development projects worth over Rs 337 crore in Naraingarh

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday inaugurated development projects worth more than Rs 337 crore during a grand function in Naraingarh. The Chief Minister launched seven major healthcare projects and extended greetings to doctors and all healthcare workers on the occasion of Doctors’ Day.

Addressing the gathering, Saini said the day marked a historic occasion for Haryana. He said the event was not merely about inaugurating development projects but reflected the government’s commitment to building a healthier and more prosperous state. He added that the government, in its third term, was accelerating public welfare initiatives at twice the pace.

Healthcare projects worth Rs 114 crore and 325 Amrit Sarovars dedicated

The Chief Minister said the projects launched from Naraingarh included seven healthcare facilities developed at a cost of Rs 114 crore. In addition, 325 Amrit Sarovars, built at a cost of Rs 223 crore to promote environmental conservation and water preservation, were dedicated to the people of the state.

Naraingarh Civil Hospital upgraded to 100 beds

To strengthen healthcare services in the region, Saini inaugurated a new 50 bed block at the Naraingarh Civil Hospital, constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 32 crore.

With the commissioning of the new block, the hospital has been upgraded into a modern 100 bed facility. A Public Health Unit block was also inaugurated on the hospital premises.

The Chief Minister said that with the projects inaugurated on Wednesday, a total of Rs 858 crore has so far been spent on the development of the Naraingarh area. Over the past eleven and a half years, 74 announcements were made for the region, of which 61 have been completed while work on five others is progressing rapidly.

He added that the current financial year’s Budget includes the establishment of a new Government Polytechnic Institute in Naraingarh. Ambala and Naraingarh have also been included among the ten new Industrial Model Townships planned in the state, and the process of acquiring land for the project has already begun.

Relief for cancer patients

The Chief Minister recalled that on February 11 this year, Day Care Cancer Centres were launched in 17 districts across Haryana, providing cancer patients with treatment closer to their homes.

He also announced an additional grant of Rs 5 crore for the construction of a Community Centre in Naraingarh. Modern digital libraries will also be established in both Naraingarh and Shahzadpur.
