Haryana Budget Session: CM Nayab Singh Saini Hits Back at Congress Over Allegations

Haryana Budget Session: CM Nayab Singh Saini Hits Back at Congress Over Allegations. The third day of the Haryana Assembly’s budget session saw a heated exchange between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress. As the Congress continued its attack on the state government over budgetary issues, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini countered the criticism on Tuesday (March 11), urging Congress leaders to introspect before pointing fingers at his administration.

Addressing the media, Saini questioned Congress’s track record in states where it is in power. “They are raising questions here, but in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, where Congress has been in power for over two and a half years, their promises remain unfulfilled. They had pledged to provide gas cylinders for ₹500—verify whether they delivered. Here in Haryana, we are fulfilling our commitments,” he asserted.

Manifesto Implementation Will Take Five Years: CM Saini

Responding to criticism over unfulfilled promises, Saini stated that governance is a continuous process. “Congress expects everything to happen overnight—be it a newborn getting a house, a job, or even getting married the same day! Our manifesto is for five years, and we are working towards fulfilling it,” he added.

Congress Accuses BJP of Budget Failures

Meanwhile, Congress has intensified its attack on the BJP-led Haryana government, with senior leader Deepender Hooda accusing it of failing to deliver on its electoral promises. “If the BJP does not fulfill its commitments in the budget, Congress, as a strong opposition, will ensure they do,” Hooda said.

He further claimed that the state government was being controlled from Delhi. “The people of Haryana now understand that their government is being run via remote control. The promises made during elections must be fulfilled without delay,” he added.

Hooda also criticized the government’s performance, stating that despite being in power for nearly six months, it was working in the wrong direction. “If the government fails to meet its commitments in the budget, Congress will not sit quietly and will force it to act,” he warned.
