Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the teachings of saints and great personalities are not confined to any particular community, but pave the way for the welfare of the entire humanity. He said that the message of social harmony, equality and brotherhood given centuries ago by Sant Shiromani Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj remains equally relevant and inspirational even today.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government has launched the ‘Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan’ on the occasion of the 650th Prakash Parv of Sant Shiromani Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The campaign will be conducted across the State till February 20, 2027.
The Chief Minister was chairing the first review meeting of the State-Level Committee constituted for programmes to mark the 650th Prakash Parv of Sant Shiromani Sri Guru Ravidas Ji in Panchkula on Friday. He said that under this campaign, programmes and activities would be organised in several phases to take the teachings and Bani of Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj to every household and every section of society.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana has been given the opportunity to celebrate the 650th Prakash Parv of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji. Sant Guru Ravidas Ji not only took the initiative to eradicate the social evils prevalent in society at that time, but also worked towards giving society a new direction. The Haryana Government has launched the Sant-Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prachar-Prasar Yojana to acquaint the younger generation with the teachings of great personalities. Under this scheme, the birth anniversaries of great personalities are celebrated at the government level.
