CM to Interact with Gen-Z Entrepreneurs in Gurugram on August 21

Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, will hold a direct interaction with Gen-Z entrepreneurs at Gurugram University on August 21. During the programme, successful young entrepreneurs will not only guide youth aspiring to launch their own startups but will also provide them with information on various aspects, including raising funds and obtaining technical assistance for their ventures.

During a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at his residence on Wednesday, the scheduled programme was discussed in detail. OSD to the Chief Minister, Virender Badkhalsa, Dr Raj Nehru, Additional Chief Secretary, Dr G. Anupama, Sh. A.K. Singh, and OSD, Vivek Kalia, were also present at the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that the programme with Gen-Z would be held without any formalities, with the emphasis on direct interaction with the youth. He said that he would remain among the young participants throughout the programme and interact with them directly.

The officers apprised the Chief Minister that six master classrooms will be set up during the programme, where successful entrepreneurs, as experts, will train groups of 50 youth each on setting up startups and other related aspects. They will also guide them on how a startup can be taken from zero to new heights of success. Certificates will be provided to the youth completing the training. Subsequently, these youth will be linked with MSMEs, where they will gain practical knowledge about startups.

Besides this, a Startup Room will also be set up at the programme, where 60 successful entrepreneurs will guide youth on the nuances of launching a startup. Banks will provide information related to loans, while experts from the Skill University will also impart training to the youth. The programme will be jointly organised by the Higher Education Department, Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, and Industries and Commerce Department.

During the programme, the Chief Minister will flag off two buses under the ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’. Starting from Gurugram, these buses will travel to every district of the State and create awareness about startups and entrepreneurship among students of colleges, universities, ITIs, coaching institutes and other educational institutions. The initiative will also address the queries of students aspiring to launch startups and provide them specialised guidance and assistance.
