12 Years of Modi Govt made India land of achievements: CM Saini

12 years of Modi government transformed India into ‘land of achievements’: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday hailed the 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre as a transformative period in India’s history, marked by rising self confidence, self reliance and enhanced global standing.

Highlighting the Centre’s achievements over the past decade, Saini said India had moved from being known as a “land of potential” to a “land of achievements” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He said the country had rediscovered its cultural consciousness while embracing modernity and tradition together.

Saini said India’s economic growth had been remarkable during the past 12 years. He noted that India, which was the world’s 11th largest economy in 2014, was steadily progressing towards becoming the fourth largest economy. He attributed the growth to key reforms such as the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and initiatives aimed at improving the ease of doing business.

Describing digital transformation as one of the government’s biggest accomplishments, the Chief Minister said India’s digital revolution had significantly changed governance and service delivery. He pointed to the success of Direct Benefit Transfer schemes and the opening of more than 53 crore Jan Dhan accounts as major milestones.

The Chief Minister said the Modi government’s strongest achievement was its commitment to the welfare of the poor. He said the government had worked in line with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Antyodaya, focusing on the upliftment of the last person in society.

Referring to the Covid 19 pandemic, Saini said India had faced unprecedented challenges but successfully converted adversity into opportunity under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

He also underlined India’s growing influence on the global stage, stating that the country’s role in international affairs had become more decisive and impactful than ever before.

Saini said the achievements of the last 12 years reflected a new and confident India that was making rapid progress across economic, social and technological sectors.
