Six Killed as Private Bus Plunges into Drain in Faridkot. At least six people lost their lives, and several others sustained serious injuries when a private passenger bus fell into a drain following a collision with a goods-laden truck on the Kotkapura-Faridkot road on Tuesday morning.

Officials confirmed that the bus, operated by New Deep Bus Service, a transport company owned by AAP MLA from Gidderbaha, Dimpy Dhillon, was reportedly overspeeding at the time of the accident. Eyewitnesses stated that the driver lost control after the collision, causing the bus to veer off a bridge and plunge into the drain.

Emergency teams rushed the injured to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital in Faridkot. A rescue operation was underway to retrieve the bus, while senior officials of the district administration and police reached the scene to assess the situation.
