This is really ridiculous at the part of Chandigarh Administration to even think of sending this short supply of PPE protection gears to PGIMER when it already has declared as a COVID Centre. Chandigarh Administration wrote a letter to PGI, in which it is saying that they are happy to send 200 PPEs for now.
Chandigarh Administration is claiming to have spent Rs 2 to 3 lacs to buy these 200 PPEs. As per Medical Experts, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) can be used the single time that too only for 8 Hours. So, in that case when a COVID Hospital like PGIMER, where Punjab, Haryana, Himachal are sending their patients like anything, should be provided with such short Supply? Isn’t this ridiculous? Aren’t you kidding with these Corona-Warriors?
As of now, 18 Positive COVID cases have started shifting to Nehru Extension Block of PGIMER. First, this unthoughtful idea of sending all COVID positive cases to PGI Nehru Extension Block, and then this letter to PGI Director. UT Administration is expecting Corona Frontline warriors to fight but with this Short supply of protective weapons. That too when PGI Staff nurse has already been found Positive.
