Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Ludhiana South, Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina, was injured in a road accident near the Khanauri border on Wednesday morning. Her Toyota Innova reportedly lost control after a motorcycle suddenly appeared in its path, leading the vehicle to crash into a divider.
Chhina, who had recently returned from a conference in the United States and landed at Delhi airport the previous night, was travelling back to Ludhiana with her husband, son, gunman, and driver when the mishap occurred. The MLA sustained facial injuries and was initially admitted to a private hospital in Kaithal, Haryana. The motorcyclist involved in the collision also suffered injuries and was hospitalised.
According to sources, Chhina has now been referred to a hospital in Ludhiana for further treatment.
