45 acres panchayat land approved for agriculture college in Yamunanagar

Former Haryana Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar has thanked Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for approving the lease of 45 acres of panchayat land for setting up an agriculture college in Kishanpura village of Yamunanagar district.

Gujjar said the approval was granted following continuous efforts to strengthen development works in the Jagadhri Assembly constituency with the support of the BJP government led by Chief Minister Saini. He noted that the Chief Minister had recently announced the establishment of an agriculture college in the rural belt of the constituency to promote agricultural education.

Taking the proposal forward, the state government has now cleared the leasing of 45 acres of village panchayat land in Kishanpura for the project. Expressing gratitude, Gujjar also thanked Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana, the village sarpanch and local residents for their support in facilitating the initiative.

He said the upcoming agriculture college would make agriculture related courses accessible to students of the region, eliminating the need for youth to travel to distant cities for higher education in agriculture. According to him, the institution is expected to benefit students from the Jagadhri Assembly constituency, Yamunanagar district and adjoining areas.

Gujjar added that the project would contribute to strengthening agricultural education and create new opportunities for rural youth in the region.
